Alpine Guides

If you are thinking of some instruction in the European alps then it is best to look for a British Mountain Guide. I have put the asscocciation website below that you can use to search all British Guides and I have also put the details of some guides that I can personally recommend.

Alpine Guides - Run by Al Powell and Rich Cross an excellent company with top level instruction and guiding. They work both winter and summer climbing, mountaineering and skiing. There blog gives a little taste of what they get up to and the conditions in the Alps.

British Mountain Guides - This is the assocciation website and you can use it to search guides for particular jobs.

Equipment and Clothing

Needle Sports - This is an excellent mountaineering and climbing shop based in the Lake District, however they have an excellent online shop and are always happy to answer questions.

AMI - This is the web page for the Assocciation of Mountaineering Instructors, the professional body that supports all MIA and MIC holders.
